Weekly Review & Reset ✨
Best for Anyone who wants to improve week-over-week, not just stay busy
When to use Every Friday or Sunday evening
The weekly review is one of the highest-leverage productivity habits — but most people skip it because it feels vague. This recipe gives you a structured way to run it with AI as your thinking partner, not just a blank journal page.
The Recipe
I'm doing my weekly review. Help me think through it.
This week I worked on: [quick summary — projects, tasks, what occupied your time]
Wins this week: [what went well, even small things]
What didn't happen: [what you planned but didn't do]
What felt hard or draining: [optional — what took more energy than expected]
What I learned: [any insight, mistake, or new information]
Based on this, help me:
1. Identify the pattern — what does this week reveal about how I work?
2. Identify the one thing I should do differently next week
3. Help me set 3 focused priorities for next week (not a to-do list — big outcomes)
4. Ask me 2 questions I should be asking myself that I haven't thought to ask
How to make it a habit
- Keep a simple running document where you drop notes throughout the week
- On Friday, paste those notes into this prompt
- The AI’s questions (point 4) become the journaling prompts for the following week
- After 4 weeks, ask: “Here are my last 4 weekly reviews. What pattern do you see that I’m probably not seeing?”
🔁 Leftover Remixes
🌶️ Spicy: “Be honest with me: based on this week, what am I probably telling myself that isn’t true about my productivity?”
🧊 Mild: “Skip the analysis — just help me pick my 3 priorities for next week.”
💰 Budget: “What’s the one question I should ask myself every Sunday night to prepare for the week?”
